SOME COMMENTS AND THOUGHTS:
Although I offer general gunsmithing and repair, it might be
helpful to know that I specialize in the following:
RIFLES:
Bolt action
AR-15 types
Ruger 10-22s
AK
variants
HANDGUNS:
1911 styles
Browning Highpowers
Glocks
Smith & Wesson revolvers
On these listed firearms, I can offer my customer anything from a simple
tuneup to a complete rebuild.
1911 auto work is not limited to the basics listed. I can build you a
carry gun from the ground up, or offer "package deals" on your guns.
I am happy to sit down and talk with you about what you want from your 1911.
Any oddball, unlisted or miscellaneous work will usually be $35.00 per hour
plus parts.
Please do not ask me to deactivate any safeties. I won't. Any gun found to
have a non-functioning safety will be repaired to functioning condition, and the
customer charged. Sorry, but this is non-negotiable.
The only exceptions are removing the magazine safety from the Browning
Hi-Power during a trigger job and removal of Colt or Para Series 80 parts.
These will be done at the customer's signed
request and waiver.
Please don't ask for a rush job. I would rather be known for the quality of
my work than the speed.
When it comes to custom work I prefer to work with the best aftermarket parts
available. With general repair we can be fine with OEM parts, but if you want a custom gun to be proud of, I won’t cut costs on parts.
I keep OEM take-off parts as part of my fee unless otherwise specified.
Disclaimer:
I will do no work on any firearm that
has been modified to render it "illegal" under current firearms laws,
unless it is to return the firearm to legal condition.
Under the terms of my license I will be obligated to report such a firearm to
the ATF (unless the request is to return it to legal condition).
